Rayyanu Adamu, a grieving family member from Giddan Mantau in Katsina State has shared a harrowing account of how his brother was killed during a recent terrorist attack on their community.

In an emotional interview with News Central TV from 3:18, Adamu recounted the horrifying final moments of his sibling’s life. According to him, the victim initially sought refuge in the ceiling of their home when terrorists stormed the community.

“My brother climbed through the ceiling trying to escape,” Adamu told News Central TV. However, the assailants set the house ablaze, leaving the trapped man with an impossible choice between the flames and his attackers.

“They set the house on fire. He came down and aimed for the door because of heat, but they shot him dead,” Adamu explained, his voice heavy with grief.

The brutal killing highlights the increasingly desperate security situation in Katsina State, where communities have faced repeated attacks from armed groups. Residents are often caught between staying in their homes, where they risk being burned alive, or fleeing into the open, where they become easy targets for gunmen.
