According to a post that was published on the official X account of Channels TV on Tuesday, the Minister of Education, Tunji Alausa has reacted after several students failed to score 200 in the 2025 Joint Admissions And Matriculation Board, JAMB.

According to report that surfaced, JAMB said a total number of 1,955,069 students sat for the 2025 UTME. The educational body stated that only about 420,000 scored above 200 while over 1.5 million students scored below 200.

Reacting to the report, the Minister of Education stated that JAMB has introduced so much security that it’s very difficult for students to cheat.

Tunji Alausa said West African Examinations Council, WAEC and National Examinations Council, NECO will soon migrate to Computer Based Testing, CBT just like JAMB.

According to Channels TV, the MInister of Education said that;

“JAMB conducts its exams using Computer-Based Testing (CBT). They’ve put in so much security that cheating has been eliminated. What we need to do is institute CBT for WAEC and NECO. By November of this year, we will migrate to CBT”.
