Adewale Debo, widely known as Mr. Macaroni, has taken to social media to issue a pointed warning to the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister, Nyesom Wike, emphasizing the importance of humility and respect in public service.

In a recent post on X, the comedian and social commentator expressed his disapproval of Wike’s dismissive remarks regarding Nigerians, underscoring that public officials must remember their responsibilities to the citizens they serve.

In his post, Mr. Macaroni highlighted that Wike, as a public servant, draws his salary from the very citizens he addresses. He chastised the minister for comments that appeared to question the intelligence of Nigerians, stating that such attitudes are not only unacceptable but also damaging to the relationship between leaders and the public.

“Dear @GovWike, you are a PUBLIC SERVANT!” Macaroni wrote, setting the tone for his admonition. He urged Wike to communicate with citizens in a manner that reflects the respect they deserve, saying, “Next time you want to address the citizens who pay your salary, do so with utmost humility and respect.”

“Never go about asking Nigerians if they are stupid,” Macaroni continued in his post. “You are not doing anyone a favor by being Minister!!!”

“Is it because I came down to talk to you?” Macaroni sarcastically added, implying that Wike’s attitude suggested an unwarranted sense of superiority. He concluded with a biting remark: “You must think you are talking to your slaves,” further emphasizing the need for a shift in how public officials perceive their relationship with constituents.
