Martin Amaewhule, the leader of the 27-pro Wike lawmakers has expressed gratitude to former Governor Nyesom Wike.
Speaking in a video recently shared by Symfoni TV from 3:50, Amaewhule said Wike supported him and the lawmakers under his leadership after Governor Siminalayi Fubara withheld their salaries and entitlements for over a year.
Amaewhule said the House of Assembly under his leadership has continued to perform its duties effectively
In Amaewhule’s words: “We will like to mention Nyesom Wike the FCT minister for his immense support as a father. He has shown that he is a father at a time when Governor Fubara thought we were going to starve, having denied us our emoluments and seized our salaries for an upward of one year. Fubara has seized our entitlement and salaries against injunctions of the court but we thank God that the 10th Rivers State House of Assembly has been functioning, delivering on the mandate given to us by our people, performing our legislative duties unhindered”.
