The former governor of Anambra state and Labour Party, LP candidate in the 2023 presidential election, Peter Obi has mentioned the sponsors of the forthcoming nationwide protests on August 1.
In a viral video that was shared on the official X handle of Peter Obi Grassroots Mobilization on Sunday, the former governor of Anambra state said the sponsors of the forthcoming nationwide protests are very simple. He said they are hunger and hopelessness among the youth. He said now is the time for the federal government to listen to what Nigerians are going through.
Peter Obi however, advised security agents to ensure that they manage the situation within the ambit of the law.
Peter Obi said;
‘Whenever they talk about the sponsors of the protests, I say the sponsors are very simple, it is hunger, it is hopelessness among the youth. So, we all have to listen to what Nigerians are going through. As for the security agencies, they should ensure that they manage the situation within the law. Protests is allowed globally”….Seë_Morë
