According to a report that was published on the official X account of Vanguard on Friday, the National Association Of Nigerian Students, NANS has reacted to the detainment of the former queen of the Ooni Of Ife, Silekunola Naomi.
According to NANS, Silekunola Naomi was not the only person who organized an event where a stampede happened. The group said why has the government not arrested those who organized events at the Federal Capital Territory, FCT and Okija community in Anambra state.
NANS claimed that the events have shown that the government has failed in its duty to ensure availability of food to Nigerians.
According to Vanguard, NANS said;
“Similar deaths in the FCT and Anambra have shown that our government has failed in its duty to ensure availability of food to Nigerians. Or was it Naomi that organized the event in other locations? Why has the government not brought the organizers in the FCT and Anambra State to the book?”.
