At a recent thanksgiving event, Governor Siminalayi Fubara spoke about the political struggles he has faced in Rivers State. He expressed his gratitude, thanking everyone for their continued backing, and assured them that the worst of the challenges is now behind them.

In a live coverage by Channels TV from 14:54, Fubara held up his pen, which he referred to as “gold biro”. He said that he still holds the power to make decisions in Rivers State and is fully in control.

Fubara encouraged his supporters not to worry about the opposition’s attempts to unsettle his administration. With their continued support, he promised to stay committed to his role as governor, determined to see his work through to the end.

In Fubara’s words: “Let me on behalf of my wife and the government appreciate everyone of you again. I assure you that the worst is over. Look at our biro, it is still here. As a matter of fact this one I am carrying now is gold biro. So you don’t need to be scared. We are going to journey it to the end with your support”
