A former Nigerian senator, author, playwright, and human rights activist, Shehu Sani, has given a report about the protest in Kaduna State.

According to the post Sani shared via his official X page on Monday, he said the protest in Kaduna, initially intended to be peaceful, has taken a dark turn. The situation has escalated into chaos and destruction.

The former senator mentioned that banks have been looted, vehicles smashed, and government offices vandalized.

Senator Shehu Sani stressed that the situation has become so dire that Russian flags have been raised, with some individuals calling for the overthrow of the civilian government and a return to military rule.
