In a recent interview with Arise News from 7:31, Kenneth Okonkwo, a lawyer and politician, shared his thoughts on his relationship with Peter Obi, the Labour Party’s presidential candidate. Okonkwo highlighted the differences in their approaches, styles, and temperaments, stating that while Peter Obi is a “very sweet man” who tries to appease everyone, he himself has a different approach.
Okonkwo cautioned that being too sweet can lead to being taken advantage of, using the metaphor “don’t be too sweet, so that they don’t lick you up.” He emphasized that his own temperament is not suited to being overly sweet, suggesting that he is more direct and assertive in his approach.
In his words;
“I did say I and Peter Obi we’ve different approaches, different styles of doing things. Our temperament are different. Peter Obi Is a very sweet man and he loves to appear sweet to everybody and I’ve always tell my younger ones, do not be too bitter so that they’ll not spill you out, don’t be too sweet, so that they don’t lick you up. So when a Peter Obi who wants to be sweet to everybody, that’s why they’re licking him up. I don’t have that kind of temperament”….Sêe_Morē
