A Former Local Government Chairman of Egor, Nosa Adams has alleged that the APC Gubernatorial Candidate, Monday Okpebholo is a distinguished Senator that has a proven track record of moving motions and sponsoring bills on the Senate Floor. He played down the allegation that Okpebholo cannot communicate with the press.

He stated that Okpebholo’s tight schedule during campaign has led to his inability not to grant media interview. He stated Okpebholo’s campaign strategy was to visit all 192 wards, which is a challenging task given the time constraint of 182 days. He identified that Okpebholo’s priority is to engage with the electorate and win their support rather than seeking media attention. He assured that once Okpebholo wins, he will be available to speak to the press.

He said in an interview with TVC from From 8:10, ”In Edo state, we have 192 wards and Okpebholo want to go round the 192 wards. And he has only 182 days if he is to take each ward per day and even if he’s taking two wards in a day, he can’t cover everywhere. He will have to visit critical stakeholders at the ward level.

He is talking to the grassroots and he’s speaking to them one by one. The voters at the grassroots has been shortchanged over the years, so Okpebholo is trying to bring the government closer to then. So the grandeur of coming to the studio, he doesn’t have that time. But his target now is to speak to the electorate and when he wins, he will come and talk to the press. Okpebholo is a distinguished Senator of Nigeria, you can’t say he cannot talk. This is somebody who have moved motions and sponsored bills on the floor of the Senate.”….View _ Next
