The Peoples Democratic Party Acting Chairman, Umar Damagum has alleged that the Labour Party and NNPP are not real parties but mere vehicles created to run for office. He confidently stated that the PDP remains the party to beat, despite the crisis that started in 2015, and emphasized that it has survived as a solid entity.

He highlighted the party’s resilience and determination, attributing its strength to its truly democratic nature. He acknowledged that losing an election brings challenges, and the PDP is currently facing such challenges. However, he emphasized that the party should take responsibility for its situation, rather than blaming external factors. He reflected on the past, stating that if the party had handled its situation better in 2015, it would not be in its current position. Despite the struggles, he expressed the party’s determination and commitment to bouncing back.
