Tony Okocha, a member of the APC in Rivers State, has spoken about the recent housing projects near the Rivers State airport.

In a video shared by TVC from 15:40, Okocha said these houses are not up to modern standards. He described them as shanties and stated that for a state like Rivers, such projects are unacceptable. Okocha also shared his personal experience of visiting one of the houses, where he had offered to buy one for ₦60 million.

In Okocha’s words: “If you take the shortest route now to the airport and you see the shanties that the governor of Rivers, Fubara, is building as a PPP you will cry. That is the inlet and outlet of the state, if you see that kind of structure you will cry. Because I like to have my personal information, I went there to offer to buy one of the houses which they sell for 60 million naira. I said open the place and they opened it. I looked at the room, this space we are sitting in will make two of the rooms there”.
