In a candid interview on Channels TV from 18:03, a former Deputy Governor of Kogi State, Simon Achuba discussed the potential impact of Peter Obi, a prominent political figure, on Nigeria’s future.
He expressed optimism about the change Obi might bring, based on his past actions and stated intentions.
Achuba emphasized the importance of gratitude and integrity in leadership, suggesting that whoever holds the highest office in the land must focus on improving the lives of citizens and lifting the country out of poverty, regardless of how they attained their position.
According to Simon Achuba, “I can’t predict him (Peter Obi), but if you look at what he was presenting, one would say there would be a change looking at all that he said. That’s my thinking. You have been a social person. You have wandered your way to where you are now. And that is the highest office in the land. So whether it is the devil that assisted you, whether it is God, you need to say, God, I am grateful to you. I will not do this anymore. This is the highest honor of the land. I must ensure that I bring Nigeria out of poverty.”
