Callistus Okafor, a chieftain of the Labour Party, has shared his conversation with Peter Obi regarding the ongoing leadership crisis in the party.

Speaking in a video shared by TVC from 12:05, Okafor disclosed that he met Obi on a flight from Abuja and took the opportunity to speak with him about the situation. He revealed that he told Obi he had not done enough to resolve the crisis. He said he advised Obi that the best way to solve the problem was to bring all parties together for discussions.

According to him, Obi agreed to the suggestion and promised to take action. Okafor also revealed that Obi gave him his current contact number during their conversation.

In Okafor’s words: “I met Peter Obi in a plane coming from Abuja, I went to him and I said ‘Your Excellency you have not done what you are supposed to do in this crisis’. He said what have I not done? I said you have called few people to a meeting but you have not called everybody. If you want this case to end, bring everybody sit down and discus it. He said he will do that. He also gave me his current number”
