A Former Director General of Obidatti Presidential Campaign Council, Akin Osuntokun has alleged that he cannot see anyone challenging Mr. Peter Obi for the Labour Party Presidential ticket in 2027 election. He stated that since Peter Obi is likely to be the party’s candidate, it would be logical for the party Chairman to not come from the South.

He argued that Barrister Julius Abure should have considered this when thinking about the party’s prospects. He criticized those who call Obi an alien to the Labour Party while pointing out that Obi joined the party and helped it grow. He emphasized that Obi and Governor Otti cannot stand aside and watch the party head for destruction. He pointed out that the party’s success is tied to Obi’s involvement and that those who are against Obi are working against the party’s interests.

He said in an interview with Arise TV From 7:15, ”Obi is likely to be the candidate of the party in 2027 and he’s from the South East, it is only logical to say that the party Chairman should not come from the South. If he (Abure) is truly thinking about the party and the prospects of the party, these are the kind of things you should have taken into consideration.

I can’t see anybody who can challenge Obi for the Labour party ticket in 2027. This is the situation that we find ourselves and the Apapa faction scenario is replaying itself again. They are saying Peter Obi is an alien to the Labour Party, is that even logical? Let us not decide ourselves, where was Labour Party before Peter Obi joined the party? If you now refer to that kind of person as an alien in the party, you are just being delusional. They believe Obi and Governor Otti should stand aside and watch the party head for destruction.”….S££ _ MOR£
