The Nasarawa State Police Command has shared more details about the case involving Timileyin Ajayi, a suspect found with the head of Salome Ele-Ojo, a 24-year-old corps member from Abuja.

In a video recently shared by AIT from 38:26, the Nasarawa State Police Public Relations Officer, Nansel Ramhan, stated that Ajayi was rescued by police operatives from an angry mob attempting to lynch him at around 8:30 pm. He disclosed that during the intervention, a human head was discovered in Ajayi’s possession and the police carried out a search of his residence, where the decapitated body of Salome was found.

Ramhan further disclosed that the victim was identified as a National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) member who lived in Nyanya, Abuja and Ajayi is currently receiving medical treatment at an undisclosed hospital after his rescue. He added that once Ajayi recovers, the police plan to charge him to court for prosecution.

In Ramhan’s words: “At 8:30 pm police operatives of the command rescued one Timi Ajayi from being lynched by a mob. A human head was recovered from him. A follow up investigation was carried out and a search warrant was executed at his resident where the decapitated remains of the victim, one Salome Ele-Ojo a 24-year-old corp member living at Nyanya FCT Abuja, was recovered. The suspect has been taken to an undisclosed hospital for treatment and afterwards he will be prosecuted”
