In a revealing Arise TV interview from 5:38, Tonye Cole, the former Rivers State gubernatorial candidate of the All Progressive Congress (APC), offered his analysis of Governor Siminalayi Fubara’s leadership transformation.
Speaking on the governor’s recent political stance, Cole observed how Fubara has defied initial perceptions. “We’ve seen that by following those terms—by being bold, by being courageous, by facing up to the opposition that he has had—he’s had to have his own way,” Cole remarked. He further noted the stark contrast between public perception and current reality, stating, “Prior to now, he was known as somebody who was timid and quiet. He’s shown that ‘I’m not timid; I’m not quiet, and I have to do this.'”
However, Cole raised questions about the long-term implications of these developments. “Will he survive? Will things take a different tone as we head toward 2027? That’s a totally different argument,” he concluded.
This assessment from the former APC candidate provides insight into the evolving political dynamics in Rivers State, particularly as they relate to Governor Fubara’s leadership style and future prospects.
