Terseer Ugbor, the lawmaker representing Kwande/Ushongo Federal Constituency, has insisted that his village, Turan in Kwande Local Government Area of Benue State, was recently attacked by bandits. He shared how about 40 bandits were killed after they had attacked his community.

Speaking in a video shared by AIT from 27:52, Ugbor stated that the bandits who recently attacked his community killed and displaced several residents. He said they even set fire to the immigration outpost that the community had been managing. He said while the bandits were trying to escape, they mistakenly entered Cameroon and the Cameroonian gendarmerie eliminated almost 40 of them.

In Ugbor’s words: “Recently the Cameroonians had to step in and help us to kill almost 40 bandits, the Cameroonian gendarmerie. Because when we were attacked, they burnt the immigration office and they displaced several communities there. They were trying to go back and they followed a wrong road that took them into Cameroon and the Cameroonian gendarmerie killed a lot of them (sic)”
