The candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in the last presidential election, Atiku Abubakar has taken to his official X account to react after seeing some residents in Cross River state scooping fuel from a fallen tanker.
According to the video that was posted by DAILY TRUST on Thursday, a large number of people were seen at the scene.
Reacting, Atiku Abubakar said the government should commence a robust campaign to educate citizens on the dangers of scooping fuel from fallen petroleum tankers.
He said things are tough but lives are the most precious things that should never be mortgaged.
According to Atiku Abubakar;
“I know that the times are tough for Nigerians. It has even been made more challenging by the trial-and-error policies of this bumbling administration. However, your lives are the most precious things that should never be mortgaged. This is why it is pertinent that the concerned government MDAs should commence a robust campaign to educate citizens on the dangers of scooping fuel from fallen petroleum tankers. Your lives matter to you and your loved ones”.
