SP Edafe Bright, the Public Relations Officer of the Delta State Police Command, recently paraded a group of criminals who specialized in stealing phones from unsuspecting passengers in tricycles, commonly known as “Keke.”

In a video shared by TVC from 1:15, one of their victims recounted his experience during the parade. He mentioned that he boarded their Keke that already had two individuals inside, including the rider, making them three in total. He said as they proceeded on their journey, one of the passengers began coughing persistently and he was unaware that this act was a deliberate distraction by the passenger to steal his phone

The victim said upon reaching his destination, he checked his pocket and realized that his phone was missing.

In the victim’s words: “I met two guys inside the keke including the keke rider making it three. On our way coming, one of them started coughing and I was telling him ‘guy sorry’ not knowing he was trying to steal my phone from me. So when I got to where I wanted to stop, I checked my pocket and I couldn’t find my phone”
