Recently, News Central TV reported that Peter Obi, a well-known opposition figure and former governor of Anambra State, has drawn harsh criticism for his political legacy and leadership style as Nigeria continues to negotiate its complicated political landscape.

In a public speech, commentator Peter Piper questioned Obi’s ability to govern a country as diverse as Nigeria, arguing that the former presidential candidate has not yet shown that he can lead his own party.

He pointed out that Peter Obi has stated his desire to lead Nigeria, a nation with a diverse population in terms of religion and ideology.

“And you want to be the president of this type of country? Peter Obi should first show his leadership skills by unifying his own party,” he said.

Piper went on to say that he was disappointed by Obi’s apparent resistance to making amends with important members of his political movement.

He said, “It is a shame and a disgrace that Peter Obi cannot sit down and have a cup of tea. That Peter Obi cannot shield his pride and sit down with Julius Abure and have a cup of coffee.”

Piper did not hold back when describing Peter Obi, calling him a political virus and asserting that he is starting to establish himself as the biggest scammer to ever enter Nigerian politics.

Piper went on to criticize Obi’s political trajectory, citing what he perceives to be a pattern of unpredictability and broken promises. He recalled Peter Obi’s pledge to never leave the APGA, the party with which he began his political career and emerged as a governor for two terms.

But Piper asserted that Obi left the APGA as a shattered party and defected, leaving it utterly divided. He claimed that Peter Obi destroyed the APGA’s ambitions to become a national party and switched to the PDP.
