The former governor of Kaduna state, Nasir El-Rufai has taken to his official X account on Tuesday to state that it was the attitude of former President, Goodluck Ebele Jonathan against the North that made him to lose the 2015 presidential election.
Nasir El-Rufai made the comment while advising President Bola Ahmed Tinubu not to show a negative attitude towards the North.
The former governor of Kaduna state said with the way things are going in the All Progressive Congress, APC, the party may end up like the Peoples Democratic Party.
He advised the President to caution his loyal supporters and some chieftains in APC not to play with the North. He said the region should be taken seriously if there is going to be any hope of reelection.
According to Nasir El-Rufai;
“May I remind some persons that, more than the performance or lack thereof of the President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan administration, it was his attitude, and that of people around him, towards the North that ultimately brought him down and by extension the PDP that had boasted that it would rule Nigeria for 60 years”.
