The ongoing battle of Israel against Houthis terrorist group in Yemen has been said to be more difficult than it was initially thought it would be.

According to The Jerusalem Post, an Israeli official who spoke on the condition of anonymity made the above known on the 27th.

The Israeli official was said to have pointed out that one of the key challenges in the fight against the Houthis is that they “are more technologically advanced than perceived by many”, and that, as a result, they should not be underated.

Also bearing his mind, a former official on Israel’s National Security Council, Yoel Guzansky, noted that the Iran-backed jihadist organisation “want a war of attrition on Israel, to continue firing so that they can say, ‘We are the real resistance.'”

Guzansky proceeded to also explain that one of the difficulties that Israel has in fighting Houthis is that the group’s drones and missiles cost far less to launch than the Zionist State spends to intercept them.

It was also noted that, the extremist organisation are located far away from Israel, as well as lives in a mountainous terrain that s surrounded by civilians, and with very little infrastructure, thereby, further making it uniquely challenging for Israel to handle.

The extremist group has reportedly continued to launch attàcks on Israel on nightly basis in recent times.

It is also of note that it has vowed to continue its attacks on Israel if the latter’s operation against Hamas continues in Gaza, Palestine.
