Robinson Ewor, the former Vice Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for Rivers West Senatorial District, has spoken about Nyesom Wike, the current Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
In a live coverage by Symfoni TV from 7:35, Ewor claimed that throughout Wike’s political career, from his time as a local government chairman in 1999 to his current role as FCT minister, Wike’s focus has consistently been on power and wealth. He said that Wike’s speeches have rarely mentioned the welfare of “his people”. According to Ewor, Wike’s political journey has been centered around accumulating more power, with little attention paid to the people’s needs.
In Ewor’s words: “If you listen to Wike’s speeches from 1999 when he became local government chairman up till date as FCT minister, you can’t hear Wike say “my people” or “about the people”, It is about power. It is about acquiring more power and acquiring more wealth”
