Elder statesman and prominent Ijaw leader, Chief Edwin Clark, has told the Inspector General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun to arrest the former governor of Rivers state and current Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike for treason.
This statement was contained in a viral video that was shared on the official X handle of NEWS CENTRAL TV on Thursday from 2.18.
His statement is coming after Wike said he will put fire in the state of any PDP governor that supports the Rivers state governor, Siminalayi Fubara.
In the viral video that was shared online, Chief Edwin Clark said if the IGP could arrest Omoyele Sowore for similar offense, he should also arrest Wike now.
Chief Edwin Clark stated that;
“If you could arrest Sowore for similar or less implicating threat against public peace and public officials, if you are in court now leading prosecution against people who participated in the #EndBadGovernance protest, why are you waiting to act in the case of Wike? Remember that you are under oath to uphold the law as the serving Inspector General of Police including the fact that you will not be partial. Let me advise you that Rivers state is too strategic to be left in a chaotic state”….S€€–MÔR€
