Renowned human rights activist and legal practitioner, Inibehe Effiong has taken to his official X handle to send a striking message across to Femi Lazarus, the senior pastor of the Sphere of Light gospel Church located in Ikeja, Lagos State. According to the statements which were shared on his official X handle, he pointed out that if he cannot condemn the mass killings, he should remain silent.
Many were left stunned after the senior pastor of the Sphere of Light gospel Church, Apostle Femi Lazarus made his stance known on the controversies that trailed the alleged Christian killings in Nigeria.
The senior pastor, who had previously maintained silence, in a viral statement which shook the social media space, downplayed the narratives and pointed out that the government was doing something right.
His comments quickly garnered widespread traction across the social media space, drawing sharp rebukes from different quarters, including renowned human rights lawyer, Inibehe Effiong.
According to the statements which were published on his official X handle on Sunday November 9th 2025, he advised the clergyman man to remain silent if he cannot condemn the mass killings.
He however, pointed out that Pastor Femi Lazarus had once gained his admiration, and he had even attended his Church service as a result of genuineness.
However, his recent remarks, according to Lawyer Inibehe Effiong, showed that he has been compromised and his ways, have become non-admirable.
