The National Secretary of CUPP, Peter Ameh has alleged that if NNPC is truly buying petroleum product from the Dangote Refinery at N898 per liter, NNPC will want Nigerians to buy the Petrol at the price of over N1000.

He expressed outrage over NNPC’s claim that they purchase fuel at N898 per liter from Dangote refinery, suggesting that this is a deliberate attempt to mislead and exploit Nigerians. He advocated for the dismissal of NNPC officials, including the MD and spokesman, for their misleading statements. He argued that NNPC should allow a free flow of petroleum products across the country at a reasonable cost, benefiting the people and not adding to their financial burdens.

He said in an interview with Arise TV from 2:09, ”The problem we are having right now is that NNPC is trying to bring the same tactics and mentality that crippled the Nigerian Investment in our refineries across the Nation. And every right thinking Nigerian must speak to NNPC that they should hands off and allow a free flow of this product across Nigeria at a cost that will be beneficial to our people and at a cost that will not add more burden to the expenses that the Nigerian masses are already making.

The people at NNPC that made this statement that they are buying fuel N898 per liter from Dangote refinery should all be fired from the job including the MD and the spokesman. Because you cannot deliberately mislead Nigerians, you cannot deliberately come and try to exploit Nigerians. If N898 is the fuel cost from Dangote, NNPC will want Nigerians to buy at over N1000. As an association, we are concerned about the continuous manipulation in the Oil industry that has impoverished our people.”
