Renowned media personality Dele Momodu has cautioned Senate President Godswill Akpabio to take immediate action to resolve the lingering controversy surrounding his leadership, warning that failure to do so could irreparably damage his reputation.
According to an interview on Channels TV from 2:53, Dele Momodu advised Akpabio to settle the matter with Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan amicably.
He stated that Akpabio was once admired as a great leader in Akwa-Ibom who developed the state, but is now being distracted by allegations due to sitting arrangements.
Momodu emphasized that if he were in Akpabio’s shoes, he would call Senator Natasha and find a way to bring her back and settle the matter once and for all.
He warned that failure to do so would have severe consequences, stating that everything Akpabio has built might go up in smoke.
Momodu’s comments come amid a heated dispute between Akpabio and Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, which began over a seating arrangement and escalated into allegations of sèxual harassment.
In his own words, “Akpabio, my advise to him, now that you are emphasizing his picture, is that once upon a time, some of us admired you as a great leader in Akwa-Ibom, who developed the state. But today you are being distracted by allegations just because of sitting arrangements. If I were in your shoes, I will call Senator Natasha and find a way to bring her back, and settle this matter once and for all. Otherwise it’s not going to go well for you, everything you ever built will go up in smoke.”
