Evans Bipi, a former Chief Whip of the Rivers State House of Assembly and loyalist of Governor Sim Fubara, recently spoke to supporters of the Simplicity Movement during a rally. He said he was surprised to see Gabriel Asabuja, an ex-MEND commander, present at the event.

In a live coverage by Symfoni TV 2:46, Bipi said that there was a time when Gabriel Asabuja posed a serious threat to him and other allies of Governor Sim Fubara. However, he said he was now pleased and relieved that Asabuja made a public commitment to stand with Governor Fubara.

In Bipi’s words: “I was surprised to see Asabuja who wanted to kill us. By that time he will do one video you will not know whether he is on the other side or he is on this side. But I am happy with you, today you made a public declaration that come rain come shine you are with Sim Fubara 100 percent”….V¡ew _ Morê
