Chief Bode George has spoken about the current state of politics in Nigeria and warned political leaders to be careful with how they treat the masses.

Speaking in an exclusive interview with The Sun, George said he was 42 years old when he became the military governor of Ondo State. He also pointed out that Yakubu Gowon became Head of State at 32 and that Murtala Mohammed became Head of State at 36. He said Obafemi Awolowo became Premier of the Western Region at 32 and that Olusegun Obasanjo also became Head of State at 39 years old. He said, “I was a military governor of Ondo State at 42 years. General Gowon became the head of state at 32. Obasanjo at 39, Muritala Mohammed at 36, Awolowo was 32 years when he became the premier of the Western region”

George warned politicians who are defecting from one political party to another and those in positions of power to think about the people. He said if political leaders continue to make life hard for ordinary citizens, there might be a strong reaction from the ordinary citizens.
