In an interview with Noire TV from 19:37 , former President Olusegun Obasanjo spoke about the dangerous journey many young people undertake in an attempt to cross the Sahara Desert and the Mediterranean Sea, hoping to reach Europe.

Obasanjo shared how heartbreaking it is to hear their stories. He said these youths face extreme hardships, risking their lives in the hope of finding a better future and many of them die along the way. He also said that the leaders who allow such situations to persist are responsible for these tragedies.

In Olusegun Obasanjo words: “I have met those of them (youths) who made attempts to cross the Sahara and cross the Mediterranean sea, it is harrowing when they tell you their experience and you will pity them. I say, look the leaders who allow these to happen have tainted their hands with blòod because many of these youths die in the process”….Sêe_Morē
