Adams Oshiomhole, a chieftain of the All Progressive Congress (APC), has given his take on the appointment of his son as health commissioner.
Recall that Cyril Oshiomhole was appointed by the governor of Edo State, Monday Okpebholo, as a commissioner for health in the state.
This development sparked criticisms from Nigerians, as many described the appointment as a reward for Adams Oshiomhole’s support for Governor Okpebholo in the Edo state governorship election.
However, during an interview with Channels Television from 0:43, the Nigerian senator, Oshiomhole, recounted how he had reached out to his son and expressed his concern towards the appointment by Governor Okpebholo.
According to the video, “He did not need my permission, but I expressed my concerns when I heard. I called him and expressed my concerns”.
