The wife of Rivers State’s former Head of Service, Florence Nweke, has made an urgent appeal to suspended Governor Siminalayi Fubara for help locating her husband, who allegedly disappeared after making explosive allegations against the governor.
During an emotional encounter captured by Channels TV from 2:40, Governor Fubara expressed bewilderment at the accusations from his once-trusted official: “It’s okay no problem, we’ll try and see what we can do. Anything anybody is doing in this life, if you do good you will meet good if you do bad definitely you will get your reward for the evil. You know my relationship with him. I don’t know where I’ve offended him that he cooked this level of lies against me.”
Mrs. Nweke fervently maintained her husband’s loyalty to the governor, suggesting he must have been coerced into making the allegations. She described how her husband told her he was traveling to meet someone named Ogiri in Abuja before disappearing.
In her desperate appeal, Mrs. Nweke revealed troubling circumstances preceding her husband’s disappearance. According to her account, he had been forced to resign after refusing to sign documents that would have implicated Governor Fubara in an alleged ₦15 billion embezzlement scheme.
