According to a report by the Daily Trust News on Thursday, November 6, 2025, Mrs. Success Adaniken, a housewife who allegedly faked her own kidnap to extort her husband has confessed that she was owing debt but she could not get the money so she decided to Kidnap herself to get it from her husband.
Mrs. Adeniken explained that after being scammed by a thrift contribution group, she turned to her husband for help paying off the debt. However, he refused, despite knowing he had the means. Feeling desperate and trapped, she resorted to faking her own kidnapping, hoping her husband would pay the ransom to secure her release. She claimed she didn’t realize the severity of her actions until she was arrested by the police, stating she was only trying to escape the overwhelming pressure of her debt.
