During the Midweek Power Communion Service at Dunamis International Gospel Centre, Pastor Dr. Paul Enenche shared a story of what Papa Oyedepo did after they got license to operate Covenant University, highlighting how Papa Oyedepo Laid down flat in front of Covenant University gate during commissioning.

According to Enenche in the sermon video From 58 minutes 15 seconds , upon obtaining the Nigerian Universities Commission’s (NUC) approval for Covenant University, Oyedepo presented the license before God, questioning its authenticity.

“Lord, I came to cross-check whether you’re the one that asked us to do this or if we’re just pursuing something on our own,” Oyedepo said. “If you’re not the one, Lord, I will tear it now.” God affirmed His involvement, assuring God’s servant of divine support.

The dedication did not end there. On the commissioning day, Oyedepo demonstrated his commitment by lying flat in front of the university gate in the sweltering heat. “God told me, ‘The heat you just felt now is the last heat you’ll feel concerning this University. You won’t know what it means,’” Oyedepo recalled. This act symbolized his total surrender and trust in God’s guidance.

Enenche emphasized the importance of such commitment and divine confirmation for any vision. “Whatever vision it is, ensure that it is received of the Lord or that there is conviction that God is behind it,” he urged.

The service also focused on practical steps for realizing visions, including writing down the vision to affirm its seriousness, giving it identity, and translating it from the invisible to the visible.

He stressed the necessity of identifying and taking actionable steps to turn vision into reality, underscoring that merely knowing what one wants is insufficient without understanding what actions are needed to achieve it.

“Receive the vision, write the vision, and identify action steps for its fulfillment,” Enenche concluded, urging attendees to apply these principles to their own goals.
