Debokiabo Warmate, a member of the PDP in Rivers State, has shared why he believes that Governor Siminalayi Fubara is not the leader of the party in Rivers State.
Speaking in a video shared by Daily Trust TV from 18:00, Warmate said that Fubara has not shown responsibility in leading the party and has not actively engaged with its structure. He stated that Fubara doesn’t openly show his support for the PDP by shouting ‘PDP, power to the people’ at public events in Rivers State
Warmate also said Fubara has not invited PDP executives from the state, local government, or ward levels to meet and discuss party affairs. He questioned how someone who does not engage with party leadership could be considered its leader.
In Warmate’s words: “How many times did you hear Governor Fubara shout ‘PDP, power to the people’ in any function in Rivers State. Number two, since Fubara came on board as governor he has not invited the party excos from state to local government to wards to say let us sit and discuss. So how do you give such a person leadership of the party”
