Joe Igbokwe, a prominent member of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has accused those who lost the 2023 election of intending to overthrow President Bola Tinubu through a coup.

Daily Post reported that Igbokwe asserted that Tinubu cannot be removed by coup since he spent thirty years preparing to hold the position of highest political office in Nigeria.

Igbokwe made a post on his Facebook page saying, “Election losers wanted to stage a coup against a president that labored for nearly 30 years to prepare himself for the exalted office.”

“Not when someone like PBAT is the President. Make we dey play. You cannot carry the land na.”

This declaration coincided with an assertion made by APC chieftain Adamu Garba that Tinubu was being targeted in the North by the same cabals that made sure former President Goodluck Jonathan was defeated in 2015.

On the other hand, Garba swore that while the Northern cabal might have prevailed against Jonathan, they would fall short against Tinubu.

Joe Igbokwe’s statement emphasized that Tinubu has built a strong political base and network, making it difficult for any coup plotters to succeed in ousting him from power.

Garba emphasized that Tinubu’s resilience and determination will make it impossible for any cabal to undermine his leadership. The support and loyalty of his followers will also play a key role in ensuring the continued success of President Tinubu’s administration….Seê Morê
