A former Minister of Youth and Sports, Barrister Solomon Dalung, has made a surprising statement about the administration of former President Muhammadu Buhari. He said that the last administration under President Muhammadu Buhari misled the people of Nigeria during its eight years in power.

According to Leadership, it was reported that Solomon Dalung, shared these thoughts in an interview on the ‘Mic On Podcast’ with well-known TV host, Seun Okinboloye, on Sunday.

Solomon Dalung, who was part of the Federal Executive Council (FEC) during Buhari’s first term from 2015 to 2019, expressed his disappointment with the administration. He accused it of breaking the trust of the Nigerian people, as the former minister also claimed that Muhammadu Buhari was often unaware of the significant incidents occurring under his administration.

Dalung shared a story about a situation where the Department of State Services (DSS) and the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) had a conflict in the Asokoro District of Abuja. This conflict kept the local community in a state of fear for three days, and it happened without the president knowing about it.

He said, “It was me, during a Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting, who informed him about the incident. I expected it to be on the agenda, but it wasn’t. I had to introduce it through AOB (Any Other Business), and the president was completely confused listening to what I was saying.”

Further talking, he said, “At the end of the meeting, we even left without any closing prayer because he was visibly angry.

On my way to the office, I saw those two agencies, directly under his office, holding a community hostage for three days over whatever interest they had, and the president didn’t know ”

Dalung blamed the developments on a cabal around Buhari, including the National Security Adviser (NSA) at the time and other officials, for failing to inform him about critical happenings.
