Former chairman of the national human rights commission and renowned human rights lawyer, Chidi Odinkalu recently reacted after a justice advocate and Living Faith pastor identified as Samuel Emmanuel Kelechi was attacked and murdered in his home in Kaduna State. According to the statements which were shared on his official X handle, he disclosed that the assailants inflicted many injuries on the advocate.
The death of Samuel Emmanuel Kelechi, a staff of House of Justice and senior pastor of the Living Faith Church on Karji, Kaduna State generated mixed reactions after the reports went viral across various social media platforms.
The justice advocate and senior pastor was attacked by unidentified assailants while resting at home. After sustaining several injuries from his attackers, Mr Samuel Emmanuel gave up the ghost.
Reacting, Chidi Odinkalu, a renowned human rights lawyer and former chairman of the national human rights commission in a recent statement which was shared on his official X handle, condemned the dastardly acts.
According to his statements, Mr Samuel Emmanuel Kelechi was the only child of his parents. He further disclosed that ‘Big Sam’ as he was fondly called was seriously injured before his demise.
“Samuel Emmanuel Kelechi was an only child. He was also a staff of House of Justice and pastor in Living Faith….Big Sam died, killed by injuries he received after he was attacked and hacked at home.” He wrote.
