Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara has dismissed the widespread speculation that he may be leaving the All Progressives Congress ahead of the 2027 governorship election.
Speaking in an interview from 2:21 on Symfoni TV, Fubara said. “I’m still a member of the All Progressive Congress and nothing has changed. People should stop using whatever situation that they pick up from the social media or their own interpretation of any situation to present me wrongly. I have not gone anywhere. I’m still a member of the Progressive Congress and I remain a member.”
The governor also used the opportunity to shift focus to his administration’s priorities, stressing that the welfare of Rivers people comes before political considerations. “I always say what is important is doing what will touch the life of our people.
