Bashir Ahmad, a special assistant to the former President Muhammadu Buhari on Digital Communications recently reacted to the brutal murder of an official of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission in Anambra State. In his statements which drew widespread attention from the general public, he pointed out that he expected Peter Obi, the former governor of the state to extend his condolences to the agency.

The brutal murder of an official of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC by suspected Internet fraudsters in Anambra State came as a shock to many after the reports went viral across various social media platforms. The official and his colleague who had gone to apprehend the cyber criminals met his untimely death as the boys mounted a resistance and opened fire on them.

Reacting to the incident, Bashir Ahmad, a special assistant to the former administration on Digital Communications in a recent statement which was shared on his official social media handle, X took a swipe at the former governor of the state and presidential aspirant of the Labor Party, Peter Obi.

According to the special assistant, he expected Peter Obi to surprise everyone by extending his condolences to the anti graft agency. He further pointed out that Peter Obi should have strongly condemned the brutal killing as the incident occurred in his home state.

‘I expected Peter Obi to surprise us by extending his condolences to the EFCC and the family of Aminu Sahabi, who was brutally murdered, while carrying out his official duties…..”
