Betty Akeredolu, the widow of former governor of Ondo state, Rotimi Akeredolu has taken to her official X account on Thursday, November 6, 2025 to react to the letter that the Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo wrote to the US President, Donald Trump.

Keyamo sent a message to the President after he designated Nigeria as Country of Particular Concern and also threatened military action over alleged Christian genocide in the country.

In the post that Keyamo shared, he said there is no Christian genocide in Nigeria. He said Boko Haram terrorists are the ones killing people irrespective of their tribe or religion.

According to Festus Keyamo;

“Just like the U.S and many countries in the world, we have faced our own fair share of societal violence; ours has been perpetrated by deadly groups known as Boko Haram, herdsmen and cattle rustlers”.

Reacting, Betty Akeredolu described the Minister of Aviation and Aerospace as a dishonest person. She said in Nigeria, Christians are being targeted and systematically killed.

Betty Akeredolu told Festus Keyamo to stop denying what is obvious.

According to Betty Akeredolu on her official X account;

“It was a horrifying reminder that targeted killings of Christians are no longer confined to the North, they have reached deep into the South. Owo is in the Southwest, for crying out loud! You may deny it, twist it, or spin it for political correctness, but the fact remains that it was too close for comfort”. View, More,
