Prince Eniola Ojajuni, President of the Afenifere National Youth Council, has shared how he was taken into the bush by bandits who held him captive for 12 days after they shot him.

According to a report by Punch, Ojajuni disclosed that he sustained gunshot wounds when bandits ambushed the vehicle he was in. He said he and other passengers were ordered out of the vehicle and forced to march into the bush. He said some of the kidnappers noticed that he had been shot and suggested that he should be released, however, one of them refused.

Ojajuni stated that when they checked his bank account and saw that he had only ₦12,000 they gave him a choice to continue the journey deeper into the bush or be killed. He said from there, they began a long trek that lasted for hours. He said there was no food or water, and the journey was exhausting. He said, “They asked me if I wanted to continue the journey into the inner part of the bush or be killed. I told them I was ready to continue the journey”
