Chindinma, one of those victims who was robbed by unknown men in a compound housing students and other occupants at Ekwulobia Street, Mile 3 Diobu, in Port Harcourt, has revealed that when she woke up in the midnight, she saw a guy standing beside her bed, and he was with a knife. He told her not to shout, that he will stab her if she screams.
According to a report by the Daily Trust News on Wednesday, August 27, 2025, Chidinma said, “I heard a noise before I woke up and saw a young guy standing beside the bed with a knife telling me not to shout, that if I scream he is going to stab me with the knife.”
Chidinma recounted a harrowing experience, saying she was startled by a noise before waking up to find a young man standing beside her bed, knife in hand. He threatened her, warning that if she screamed, he would stab her. Feeling scared and disoriented, Chidinma described the situation as surreal, like a nightmare. The intruder took her phone and her brother’s phone before fleeing the scene. She cautioned about being vigilant and mindful of one’s surroundings after the incident.
SP Grace Iringe-Koko, the police spokesperson in Rivers State, is yet to confirm the incident that happened.
