Tony Okocha, a member of the APC in Rivers State, has responded to a statement Governor Siminalayi Fubara reportedly made concerning the peace agreement he signed at the Aso Villa
In a live coverage by Symfoni TV from 41:42, Okocha said he was among those who were present in the meeting where Fubara signed the peace agreement. He said that the setting was calm and private, creating an environment where no one would feel pressured. According to Okocha, President Tinubu made all media and security personnel leave the room. Okocha questioned why Fubara would claim he felt coerced to sign the agreement.
In Okocha’s words: “Tinubu told all his security agents who work directly with him and were in that meeting to leave and that he was going to talk to us as a family. So there was no reason for anybody to feel intimidated. Something that took place around February or March. How can you say you were coerced? To do what”
