FCT Minister Nyesom Wike has alleged that opposition figures are deliberately targeting Chief of Staff Femi Gbajabiamila in an attempt to undermine President Bola Tinubu’s administration.
Speaking at a media parley reported by TVC from 2:11, Wike said, “There are people you target in government to give their boss a bad name. I know the chief of staff very well. This chief of staff, he’s the person who’s in charge of finance and the Secretary to Government. If you want to embarrass any government, these are the targets. The chief of staff is seen as somebody who, if you get to him, the government would have been embarrassed,” he said.
Wike also dismissed the allegation that Gbajabiamila demanded 50 million dollars from a non-existent agency as complete nonsense, describing it as madness.
He questioned the credibility of Prince Adebayo Adeniyi and he criticised him for making such a serious public accusation and then disappear rather than face scrutiny.
