Ikenga Ugochinyere, a member of the House of Representatives, has expressed his views regarding the dispute between Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara and 27 members of the House of Assembly led by Martin Amaewhule

In a live coverage by Symfoni TV from 10:50, Ugochinyere said the Amaewhule-led faction of the Rivers House won’t be allowed to impeach Governor Fubara. He said they all lost their seats as lawmakers when they announced their defection from PDP to APC.

In Ugochinyere’s words: “These lawmakers have left their political party, everybody saw it. The constitution is very clear, but somebody wants to use the judiciary to give them legitimacy to continue to cause nuisance. What are we fighting over? Those (27 Lawmakers) who decamped and lost their seats want to impeach Governor Fubara. Come and do it and let us see. Get everything you want and let us see how it will work”
