A senior Iranian academic and advisor, Sayed Mohammad Marandi, issued a stern warning following recent Israeli military actions against Iran. In a post on his verified Twitter account, Marandi cautioned that any further attàcks by Israel would be met with a devastating response from Iran.

He emphasized that Iran’s retaliation would signal the end of the country’s “strategic patience,” a phrase often used to describe Tehran’s measured approach in response to repeated provocations from Israel and its Western allies.

Marandi’s warning came amid escalating tensions in the Middle East, particularly following Israeli airstrikes targeting Iranian assets. His message also highlighted the broader context of the conflict, referring to the ongoing Israeli bombardment of Gaza, which he labeled as a “Western-backed Gaza Holocaust.” His use of such strong language underscores the widespread anger in Iran and across the Axis of Resistance, an alliance of Iran, Hezbollah, and other regional groups opposed to Israel.

Marandi’s remarks reflect growing frustration in Iran with the perceived impunity of Israeli actions and the lack of a strong international response. The situation in Gaza, where Israeli airstrikes have resulted in significant casualties and destruction, has further inflamed the region.

The Iranian government has long supported the Palestinian cause, and Marandi’s comments suggest that Tehran could intensify its involvement in the Gaza conflict, alongside its broader regional ambitions.
