Abayomi Arabambi, the Publicity Secretary of the Labour Party’s Apapa faction, has dismissed Peter Obi and Alex Otti’s influence within the party, likening their actions to joining “Nollywood” by entertaining Nigerians. He stated that, according to the Labour Party’s constitution, neither Obi nor Otti holds a legitimate ticket within the party’s leadership.

Citing a Supreme Court ruling regarding a former Kaduna governor, he emphasized that the party must adhere to its constitution. He clarified that both Obi and Otti are not members of the Labour Party’s national committee, but merely part of the convention.

He said in an interview with TVC from 0:24, “Mr. Peter Obi is trying to join in the Nollywood of Nigeria by forming his own theater groups that entertain Nigerians. He and Alex Otti has no ticket as far as Labour Party leadership is concerned in our constitution. The Supreme Court has made something clear regarding the former Governor of Kaduna during that crisis. The Supreme Court stated that they must obey their constitution and if you consider Nigeria now, they are not members of the national committee. They are only members of the convention.”
