Prominent PDP member Imo Ugochinyere has voiced strong opinions about the way the party is handling Nyesom Wike’s situation.
As a leading member of the PDP, Wike is currently employed in the All Progressives Congress (APC) administration, and this appears to be creating issues for the PDP. PDP leaders, in Ugochinyere’s opinion, are not doing enough to address this problem.
In the video that SYMFONI TV released 10:16, Ugochinyere questioned why the PDP continues to put up with Wike’s behavior when it is obvious that he no longer supports them.
He chastised the party for taking care of someone who blatantly desires their failure. Ugochinyere claimed that Wike is attempting to impede the PDP’s advancement by feigning control over them while covertly supporting the APC.
Ugochinyere demanded that the party’s leaders act right now, admonishing them to cease being meek and silent. He underlined that the PDP cannot expect Nigerians to take them seriously in upcoming elections if they are unable to resolve this internal problem.
He recommended that rather than being held back, the party call an urgent meeting to discuss Wike’s actions and proceed with confidence.
He believes that the PDP needs to demonstrate their resolve, cease putting up with Wike’s actions, and demonstrate that they are capable of winning future elections.
In his words, “Nigerians will not take PDP seriously if they cannot address a very small compliance with your constitution because one of our members is now serving in the APC government.”
“He (Wike) wants to use one leg to pin you down so you don’t move and then tell those he’s working with that he has pinned the opposition party down.”
“They clap for him, and all of you are keeping quiet; that means you are not ready for an election. There’s even no conversation that should be happening in PDP except an emergency meeting and doing the needful.”
“I’m urging the leaders of this party, both the BoT. If a man has said you must fail, you cannot win, and I will destroy you, why are you still babysitting him? Are you a coward? do the needful.”
